I've been reading an audio book called Write For Your Life by Anna Quindlen. I think this book has finally given me the permission I've been looking for to just write without reservation. I write to process not to publish and I hope that within that effort I'm leaving cookie crumbs of who I am/was/will be.
I write about my longing for conversations with family from my past... the relatives I never got to meet or wish I had known better. This website is full of conversations. My posts are conversations I'm having with myself, conversations that I'm putting on "paper" first and foremost to process my thoughts but also to share. Someday I hope there are family that will wish they knew me or knew me just a little bit better - so my conversations will continue, and I hope you enjoy them. My words may not change the world, but rather give you (and me) and better glimpse into mine.
